Green Girls' 2020 Birthday FUNdRAISEr!

Gemma-Noelle was born with congenital heart defects. A big hole between her heart's top chambers, a smaller hole between the bottom chambers, a valve that was not properly developed, and extra growths in one of the chambers. When she was 8 months old, her heart had become enlarged from working too hard and she had open-heart surgery to fix these problems. Surgery was successful and Gemma came home from Primary's 5 days later. After her operation, she had much more energy each day. We are grateful for the many individuals and services offered to us for our well-being while we were there. Our experience was difficult, but the kindness and service shown by others during that time helped us through. I am grateful my sweet girl's mended heart allows her to live a full & healthy life. I know through my experience as a mother that health is a gift and I'm grateful to the hospitals and health professionals who've given my children that gift. Now, I want to help give this gift to children like mine and mothers like me.
The Pennies by the Inch FUNdRAISEr has made it possible for my girls to have FUN and for me to RAISE them to be aware of their own experiences and develop empathy for kiddos who've had to stay in the hospital like them. Now, whenever they find money, they bring it to me and tell me (in Gemma's words, "Mom! A money! A help a body in a hos a tul!") as they put it in our jar. The opportunity to participate in Pennies, to teach my girls about their own hospital journeys and watch them be so excited about helping other children, has been incredibly rewarding. Contributions to this special cause will make my two little girls OH SO EXCITED and our birthdays will be even more meaningful!! Love ~ Brinda, Tessa-Kate, and Gemma
We truly appreciate you helping us reach our goal! Many of the vital programs and services offered at Primary Children’s are funded solely through donations by individuals and organizations. It's only through community support that the Hospital has achieved so much.
Once again, thank you for your support. Together we are making a difference for these special kids!
